The journalism staff
is responsible for producing four 16-page issues of the newspaper
during the school year and our fall delivery 200-page yearbook.
The staff is broken into several departments with an editior-in-chief
in charge of overall publication duties. We have a copy editor
and news department; features editor and photo department; and
a business manager and sales department.
Our newspaper is printed as a tabloid news magazine with a full-color
cover. Coverage includes all areas of high school life, parent
dedications and local advertisements.
All of our photography and printing is done digitally using five
school computers, two scanners and a digital camera.
Our yearbook is printed by Josten's in Clarksville, TN. Our newspaper
is printed at Duke Publishing in London, KY and is sponsored by
Tri-County Nantional Bank of Corbin.
Our students attend Journalism Scholars Day each fall at EKU or
WKU and attend the KHSJA state convention in the spring.
